LOGAN – A Logan County woman claims that a debt collector wrongfully disclosed an alleged debt to a third party in an effort to coerce payment from her.
CHARLESTON – The Judicial Investigation Commission has issued a public admonishment for Judge Eric H. O’Briant, saying he “should know better” for allowing a paralegal to handle cases in magistrate court without a license.

Knees, shoulders, and hands are the body parts adolescents most often injure on the gridiron, with fractures and ligament sprains being the most common types of injury. LOGAN – Another lawsuit has been filed against Bizzack Construction for alleged property damages from highway construction. The lawsuit brings the total to at least 24 lawsuits filed against the company — mostly in Logan Circuit Court — for the highway construction.
LOGAN – A recent high school graduate is suing the Logan County school board for injuries he sustained during preseason football drills last summer. Caleb E.J. McDonald filed his lawsuit against the Logan County Board of Education on June 19 in Logan Circuit Court.
CHARLESTON – A couple is suing Equifax Information Services after they claim the credit bureau failed to reinvestigate credit reporting errors that caused them damages.

LOGAN – The mayor of Chapmanville is suing the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy and two drug distributors after he claims they are responsible for the opioid drug epidemic that has ravaged West Virginia.
LOGAN – The latest lawsuit against Bizzack Construction alleging property damages brings the total of lawsuits against the company to more than two dozen.
