HUNTINGTON – Summary judgment was granted in a lawsuit against St. Mary’s Medical Center alleging wrongful termination. Circuit Judge Christopher D. Chiles dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, after hearing oral arguments from the parties regarding summary judgment on Feb. 5. The order was filed Feb. 16.
HUNTINGTON – A man is suing Beni Kedem Shrine and its potentate after he claims he was wrongfully expelled from the shrine and from his position as treasurer. Larry E. Bolling was previously for 18 years a “Noble” in good standing and also potentate of Beni Kedem Shrine and was treasurer of the Huntington Shrine Club, according to a complaint filed Jan. 19 in Cabell Circuit Court.
HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing REMC Inc. after she claims a secret surveillance camera was found in her apartment. On March 13, 2015, Jessica Harris and REMC entered into a lease agreement for an apartment with a 12-month term beginning April 1, 2015, according to a complaint filed Jan. 20 in Cabell Circuit Court.
HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing TLK Group in a class action lawsuit after she claims it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act. Terina M. Hamilton was employed by TLK until Feb. 22, 2014, according to a complaint filed Jan. 19 in Cabell Circuit Court.
HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing Hobby Lobby after she claims she was injured when she fell in the store’s parking lot. Schottenstein Property Group Inc. and Schottenstein Property Group LLC were also named as defendants in the suit. On Jan. 16, 2014, Saundra Kay Morrison was exiting Hobby Lobby in order to return to her vehicle after making purchases, according to a complaint filed Jan. 8 in Cabell Circuit Court.
HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing a Huntington physician for professional negligence after she was injured during surgery. On Dec. 31, 2013, Lora Dotson presented to Dr. Brian Bower for a robotic assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, according to a complaint filed Jan. 14 in Cabell Circuit Court.
