CHARLESTON — A South Charleston commercial property landlord is suing a hospital tenant, alleging it owes more than $30,000 for breach of a lease agreement.

CHARLESTON – A Scott Depot woman is suing the Herbert J. Thomas Memorial Hospital over claims that a Kanawha County woman's death could have been prevented.
CHARLESTON – Lera VanMeter, one of the candidates for Kanawha County family court judge, wants to make sure children don't get lost in the shuffle if she is nominated to the bench. VanMeter, who has been practicing family law for 21 years, said the interests of children involved in family law are very important to her and she wants to make sure those interests are protected. WINFIELD – A Kanawha County woman is suing a physician she claims caused damages. On March 26, Matthew Harris was admitted to CAMC Teays Valley Hospital with complaints of abdominal pain, according to a complaint filed Oct. 2 in Putnam Circuit Court. CHARLESTON – A Raleigh County woman is suing Kroger, alleging negligence after a fall at a grocery store that she says led to medical expenses. Donna Jean Long, of Raleigh County filed a lawsuit in Kanawha Circuit Court against the Kroger Co., alleging negligence.
CHARLESTON – A Kanawha County woman is suing West Virginia CVS Pharmacy LLC after she claims the pharmacy gave her the wrong medication. An unknown and unnamed pharmacist also was named as a defendant in the suit. On March 11, Maretta Burns presented to her family physician with complaints of anxiety and elevated blood pressure and she was prescribed Lozol 2.5 mg daily for 90 days, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court. CHARLESTON - A former employee is suing Thomas Memorial Hospital after she claims she was injured on the job.On Aug. 13, 2012, Jackie Simmons began her employment at the hospital as a housekeeper, according to a complaint filed June 18 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
