CHARLESTON — The partnership between West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's office and U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II has landed its first conviction in northern West Virginia. HUNTINGTON – A man is suing Beni Kedem Shrine and its potentate after he claims he was wrongfully expelled from the shrine and from his position as treasurer. Larry E. Bolling was previously for 18 years a “Noble” in good standing and also potentate of Beni Kedem Shrine and was treasurer of the Huntington Shrine Club, according to a complaint filed Jan. 19 in Cabell Circuit Court.

CHARLESTON – A man is suing the Offices of Rockwell Copeland Roth LLC after he claims it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. On Dec. 15, Mark Tscherne received a phone call from John Belfort, a duly authorized representative of the defendant, who stated that the defendant was a legal processing firm and calling in reference to a civil lawsuit that was filed against him in an attempt to collect debt, according to a complaint filed Feb. 11 in the U.S.

Woman says hidden camera was installed in her Huntington apartment

HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing REMC Inc. after she claims a secret surveillance camera was found in her apartment. On March 13, 2015, Jessica Harris and REMC entered into a lease agreement for an apartment with a 12-month term beginning April 1, 2015, according to a complaint filed Jan. 20 in Cabell Circuit Court.
