Fayette Co. attorney says boat was defective, damaged
BECKLEY – A Fayette County attorney is suing Advantage Boats Inc. after he claims he unknowingly purchased a defective and damaged boat. On Aug. 25, Anthony M. Salvatore phoned the defendant’s dealership with an interest in purchasing a reliable and durable motor boat, according to a complaint filed in Raleigh Circuit Court. Salvatore is an attorney with Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC based in Fayetteville.

AG's office reaches $160M settlement with Frontier
CHARLESTON — West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's office has reached an estimated $160 million settlement with Frontier Communications over complaints involving Internet speeds provided to consumers. The settlement, according to the AG's office, requires Frontier to invest at least $150 million in capital expenditures to increase Internet speeds across West Virginia and provide access to areas currently without high-speed service.

NEW ORLEANS – Another lawsuit has been filed against one of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jim Justice’s companies for failing to pay more than $400,000 in legal fees. Phelps Dunbar LLP is suing James C. Justice Companies Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana alleging JJC owes $409,535.35 in legal fees for services rendered since 2011, according to a complaint filed Dec. 7 in federal court.
