BECKLEY – A second woman has filed a class action lawsuit against Raleigh Heart Clinic due to an increased risk of bloodborne pathogens, including HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Cathy L. Mills, a resident of Raleigh County, claims she was a patient of the clinic on Sept. 24, 2014, according to a complaint filed March 25 in Raleigh Circuit Court.

BECKLEY – A Lincoln County man has filed a second lawsuit against a Wyoming County attorney who he says owes him more than $40,000. Jack Spadaro filed his lawsuit in Raleigh Circuit Court against Warren Randolph McGraw II doing business as The Warren McGraw Law Firm or McGraw Law Offices. The firm has offices in Beckley, Pineville and Atlanta, Ga. Spadaro filed an identical lawsuit against McGraw last May, and Judge Robert Burnside granted summary judgment to Spadaro in July. BECKLEY – Two lawsuits have been filed against Love Family Practice Group after former employees claim it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act and also engaged in improper medical billing practices.
BECKLEY — A Fayette County man is suing his former employer, claiming the company created unsafe working conditions and fired him for a workers' compensation claim.
BECKLEY – Empowering Families LLC is suing Uplifting Families LLC and a former employee it claims violated her duties during her employment. Rema Bulmer, individually and as a former officer/member of Empowering Families, was also named as a defendant in the suit.
BECKLEY – Lamar Texas Limited Partnership is suing Love Family Practice Group after it claims the company breached its contract. On Nov. 19, 2014, the defendant entered into an advertising contract with Lamar wherein it agreed to purchase advertising space for the period of Nov. 24, 2014, until Nov. 22, according to a complaint filed in Raleigh Circuit Court.
