BECKLEY – A woman has filed a lawsuit claiming an employee of the Beckley location of Planet Fitness was criminally videotaping patrons using tanning beds.
FAYETTEVILLE – A certified nursing assistant alleges she was wrongfully discharged from her position and that her health information was unlawfully shared with other employees.
FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayette County motorcycle driver and his passenger are suing a truck driver, alleging negligence while driving on a public roadway and causing serious injuries.
BECKLEY – Two lawsuits have been filed against Love Family Practice Group after former employees claim it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act and also engaged in improper medical billing practices.
BECKLEY – A Fayette County woman is suing S.E. Funeral Homes of West Virginia Inc. after she claims her employment was wrongfully terminated. The Estate of John Attilli and John Dawson also were named as defendants in the suit.
CHARLESTON – A Charleston attorney has given notice to state officials that he is challenging the state’s guidelines that would cut the amount attorneys are paid for their time spent in court-appointed cases. Anthony Majestro of Powell & Majestro sent notice on behalf of attorneys and law firms that take court-appointed cases. Majestro will file a petition for a writ of mandamus with the West Virginia Supreme Court against the state’s Public Defender Services. The petition will ask the court
BECKLEY – A Raleigh County man claims he was wrongfully terminated by the town of Sophia for a disability that kept him from performing job duties outside his abilities.
FAYETTEVILLE – A Fayette County couple is suing the city of Oak Hill for allegedly neglecting its responsibility as a public service district to provide water and sewage services to citizens.
